Energy Management E&I Engineer
Pulsar Power, a Belgian company operating in several European countries, specializes in engineering services for complex renewable energy plants. They are seeking an Energy Management E&I Engineer in Belgium to join their digitization team, where they will contribute to designing and implementing digital solutions for advanced energy management.
Energy Management E&I Engineer: Program and configure industrial field devices for optimal energy management. On-site installation and verification. Contribute to future digital solutions with programming skills and energy industry knowledge.

Role and responsibilities
- Develop energy functionalities on embedded devices like PLC’s.
- Install these devices in the field and verify the correct operation
- Maintain a good relationship with the customer in the philosophy of ‘customer first’.
- Give feedback to your colleagues about new solutions and market trends. You have the experience and you are our ears and eyes in the field.
- Assure the highest standards regarding cyber security since you are working with critical infrastructure.

Profile
- Passionate about ICT and making the fast evolving energy transition happen.
- You like working in a fast-growing company with rapid changing market conditions.
- Likes to work in industrial installations and knows his way in an electrical cabinet.
- You have a bachelor or master’s degree in electromechanics, ICT, electronics, automation, embedded systems… or equivalent by experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in industrial automation with field experience
- You are a strong communicator
- The following technical skills are required:
- Electrical distribution grids: Active/reactive power, power factor, harmonics, transformers, protection relays, …
- Basic telecommunications: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, HTTPS, Ethernet, FTP
- Advanced in at least one PLC programming environment (Siemens, Wago, Phoenix,) IEC 61131-3
- VCA, BA5 certification – or willingness to obtain within a short amount of time.
- The following technical skills are considered a plus
- PV, EV, grid battery installations
- Electrical and grid regulations low and medium voltage
- Electrical cabinet design
- Electrical cabling
- LTE communication, IoT
- Embedded devices, Linux
- MATLAB, C++, Python
- MQTT, OPC UA

- You are fluent in Dutch and English. Other languages are considered as a plus.
