Energy Management DevOps Engineer
Pulsar Power, a young and fast-growing Belgian company with activities in several European countries, is seeking an Energy Management DevOps Engineer to support its growth and expansion. The engineer will work with the digitisation team to optimise energy flows through advanced energy management using an IoT network and machine learning algorithms. Location is flexible.
Energy Management DevOps Engineer designs and implements digital solutions for complex energy management, complementing the AI and electrical grid experts in the digitisation team. Location: flexible.

Role and responsibilities
- Design and implementation of network architectures
- Design and implementation of databases for electrical measurements, events, …
- Interfacing between AI software and external databases/services
- Interfacing between cloud services and field controller
- Assuring the highest standards regarding cyber security since this is critical infrastructure.
- As a bridge builder between software platforms, you need to understand and contribute to the work of your colleagues.

Profile
- Passionate about ICT and making the fast evolving energy transition happen.
- A dynamic person that likes to dig into complex matter and can start new things from scratch.
- You like working in a fast-growing company with rapid changing market conditions.
- You have a master’s degree in ICT, electronics, informatics, automation, embedded systems… or equivalent by experience.
- Basic electrical knowledge is sufficient, we will bring you up to speed.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- The following technical skills are required
- Basic telecommunications: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, HTTPS, LTE, Ethernet, FTP
- Expert in at least one programming language
- The following technical skills are considered a plus
- Data architecture
- Azure, Amazon AWS hosted services
- MATLAB, LabVIEW
- Python, C++
- Pytorch, TensorFlow or any other machine learning frameworks
- REST API, JSON
- Embedded devices, Linux
- PLC programming (Phoenix, Wago, Siemens,) IEC 61131-3
- MQTT, OPC UA
- Virtualisation, cloud applications
- Any cyber security implementation
- Electrical distribution grids
- You are fluent in English. Other languages are considered as a plus.
